Head of Video Studio


We are TheSoul Publishing, one of the largest internet media publishers in the world! We develop more than 40 unique thematic projects, including 5-Minute Crafts, Bright Side, 123GO!, Avocado Couple, Teen-Z, and many others which are a source of inspiration and positive vibes for more than 1 billion subscribers all over the world.

We’ve got offices and video studios in Cyprus, Latvia, and Hungary at the moment, and we aim to keep growing and constantly improve our processes, making them more efficient and high-tech.

At the moment we are looking for a Head of Video Studio who will take care of our large and powerful Limassol video production. Being part of TheSoul Publishing headquarters, the Limassol Video Studio produces tons of new material for more than 20 video projects, and includes more than 300 employees - actors, videographers, decorators, make-up artists, crafters, storekeepers, and more. The processes are configured: production crews are creating videos constantly, while pre-production teams support them. We are looking for an experienced leader who will ensure that this complex and highly productive machine works without any interruptions.

Experience in video production is an advantage, but not a requirement. The first 2 months of your work will be combined with an extensive training program that will allow you to deeply understand all of the video studio processes.

Job summary:

  • The Head of Video Studio ensures that production teams are provided with all the resources they need. In other words, this key role includes total responsibility for the pre-production part of the work.

What our Head of Video Studio will actually do:

  • Manage all the pre-production teams (decorators, crafters, make-up artists, storekeepers, prop buyers, prop request creators) to ensure they are handling a suitable workload and providing support where needed.

  • Constantly work on improving the strategy for the Limassol Video Studio (processes unification, automatization, etc.), clearly and confidently implement studio changes.

  • Build a system of interaction with production that will guarantee the best service from pre-production teams.

  • Control and monitor teams’ KPIs and delivery, and be able to improve the existing KPI system.

  • Be a main point of contact for all studio production queries, troubleshooting, and blockers.

  • Resolve complex studio issues.

  • Provide leadership to inspire and engage your teams.

This role is for you if:

  • You have successful solid experience in managing teams in a high quality production line environment.

  • You have managed multicultural teams and/or businesses.

  • Maybe you haven’t worked in video production before, but you’re proactive, curious, willing to learn, and have a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.

  • You are truly digital and know these words (at least some of them): Slack, G-Suite, Confluence, Asana, Jira.

  • You manage to keep your focus on both operational efficiency and quality.

  • You’re strong in planning and execution control.

  • You’re an excellent communicator who is comfortable liaising at all levels within the business.

  • You’re an experienced people manager and you practice authentic leadership.

  • You know what you want and you move forward despite any obstacles.
